RECreational and REPresentative hockey are ever-evolving in female hockey as the female game grows but we anticipate each season will be similar to previous hockey seasons.
All Metro East Inferno Coaches will be properly qualified and on-boarded in order to ensure that we as an association adhere to the standards & principles set by Hockey Nova Scotia & Hockey Canada.

The Basics |
- REC hockey is for those new or fairly new to hockey and/or those interested in playing hockey ~ 2 to 3 times a week, in a more relaxed, less competitive environment. REC hockey is about developing, learning the game and having fun!

- REP hockey is for more experienced and skilled hockey players interested in playing ~ 3 to 5 times a week, who enjoy a more intense, competitive environment. REP hockey is about developing, learning and having fun!

Commitment & Expectations

- it is understood that hockey may not be a player's first priority but the coach must still be notified when a player will be absent so they can plan accordingly
- level of time commitment is lower with generally 1 practice, 1 or 2 games per week

- exhibition games and additional practices at the team's discretion/costs

- expectation to attend all games, practices and activities, whenever possible, making hockey a top priority
- high level of time commitment with:
- 2 practices, 1 or 2 games per week for U13-U15 AAA
- 1 practice and 1 shared practice, 1 or 2 games per week for U11-U18 AA/A
- regular province-wide travel for league games
