NEW CRC/VSC process

Attention MEI volunteers,

 

Effective immediately, Sterling Backcheck (MyBackcheck) is no longer able to provide Criminal Record Checks (CRC) that include the Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC). As you know the VSC is a mandatory Hockey Nova Scotia screening requirement for all volunteers. Instead, Halifax Regional Police is now offering a new online screening process through Triton. Here is the link below:

Key Points:

  • HRP will only process CRC/VSC for residents of HRM. Residents outside of HRM must apply through the police service responsible for their area.
  • A HNS letter is required to be eligible for the reduced fee.
  • If fingerprints are required, applicants will receive instructions for next steps.
  • Deadline is December 1, 2026

The Metro East Inferno Female Hockey Association is now accepting coaching applications for the 2026–2027 season for:
  • U7
  • U9 Dev & Int
  • U11AA, A & C
  • U13AA, A & C
  • U15AA & A
  • U18AA & A

We’re looking for passionate, committed coaches who are ready to build strong team culture, develop athletes, and create a positive, competitive environment for female hockey players.

 
Interested applicants should complete the following form: MEIFHA Coaching Application Form
which includes your expression of interest, Coaching experience & certifications as well as brief summaries of your coaching philosophy, approach and background.

Remember to complete the survey for ALL coaching staff and Team Volunteers so we have feedback for Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers, Treasurers, etc., for next season. 
 
If you have players on multiple teams please fill out a survey for each player.
