MEIFHA Launches Preseason Development 2024

Metro East Inferno Female Hockey Association is pleased to offer Preseason Development Sessions for divisions U9 – U18 during the month of September.  These sessions will provide our players with the opportunity to get on the ice prior to the start of the regular season. Please note: All Preseason Development Sessions are OPTIONAL.

CHANGES LAST SEASON:

Options for Preseason Development Sessions and U13/U15 Evaluations:

An initiative to provide alternatives for those who wish greater flexibility, and control of their hockey preseason. We believe these options have provided a more positive environment for players at both preseason development sessions and evaluations, as well as provided families with greater flexibility during the busy fall season.  

• Choose your Preseason Development Sessions. 
• Players at U13 and U15 may choose to join Evaluations at the AAA or AA/A level. 

NEW THIS SEASON:

• C or REC category hockey at the U15 and U18 age divisions may be offered pending formation of leagues. Players who do not wish to play AAA or AA are to register for A without Evaluations, at this time.
• An additional step this season for ALL players registering for U15/U18 A Hockey: We ask that ALL U15 and U18 A players registering directly to A (without Evaluations), select one of the following products (at no charge):
  1. U15/U18 New to Hockey:
     If your player was born 2007 - 2011 but new to hockey.
  2. U15/U18 Expression of Interest in C (REC) Hockey: 
     If your player was born 2007 - 2011 and would prefer to play C (REC) hockey if a league is formed.
  3. U15/U18 A adding Evaluations IF C (REC) proceeds:
     If your playe was born 2007 - 2011, registering for A but would choose to be evaluated for A (REP) Hockey, at an additional cost of $125, if U15 and/or U18 C (REC) leagues are added for the upcoming season.
• If C (REC) hockey leagues are formed for U15 then U15 A registered players who selected option 3, may be asked to participate in Evaluations at the AA/A level, at an additional cost of $125. These players would be contacted as required.
• If C (REC) hockey leagues are formed for U18, then U18 A registered players who selected option 3, may be asked to participate in Evaluations at the AA/A level, at an additional cost of $125. These players would be contacted as required.

PRESEASON DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS:

 

 

CHOOSE U13 AAA & U15 AAA Hopefuls Preseason Development Sessions IF your player:

• will participate in U13 AAA or U15 AAA REP Player Evaluations
• is keen to hit the ice early (~ September 3rd start) with fellow Hopefuls before evaluations begin (~ September 15th)

OR U9 to U18: Preseason Development Sessions (PDS) - BLOCK 1 IF your player:

• is keen to hit the ice early (~ September 9th start), whether participating in REP evaluations or not
• will participate in U11 AA/A, U13 AA/A, U15 AA/*A or 18AA/*A REP Player Evaluations

Please Note: Preseason Development Sessions - Block 1 is not a registration option for players participating in U13AAA or U15AAA Evaluations as Block 1 will not end before AAA evaluations begin.

AND/OR U9 to U18: Preseason Development Sessions (PDS) - BLOCK 2 IF your player:

• will participate in U11AA/A REP Player Evaluations or join U13 or U15 evaluations at the AA/A level
• isn't participating in any REP Player Evaluations this season, but wishes to get on the ice before regular season begins (U11C, U13 C, U15*A, U18*A or C if U15 C and /or U18 C proceeds).
• chooses to add Block 2, continuing from Block 1, if the above applies
• does not wish to participate in Block 1, chooses only Block 2 - totally up to you and your player!

Please note: Preseason Development Sessions - Block 2 is not a registration option for players participating in U13 AAA, U15 AAA or U18 AA/*A Evaluations. Start date will vary, see chart below for approximate schedule.
