Exciting Sponsorship Opportunity!

Last season (2019-20) was the first year that Metro East Inferno Female Hockey Association (MEIFHA) offered U9 (formally Novice) as part of our registration. We were pleased to have four teams registered, with 61 enthusiastic players and 31 coaches/managers supporting a great first year.

The trend of support for the U9 division continues with strong numbers registered for this season. Last year, to allow the teams to play games against each other and other associations, we invested in eight sets of goalie equipment and we are looking to continue this investment this season with help from the MEIFHA community.

Part of the U9 program format is that they play half-ice games, and there is a set of boards to divide the rink into two smaller ice surfaces. To read about all of the benefits of half-ice hockey for U9, visit this Hockey Canada webpage.

Last year, we were fortunate to borrow the dividing boards from the Dartmouth Whalers Minor Hockey Association and the Cole Harbour Bel Ayr Minor Hockey Association, for our MEIFHA games, and we didn't require our own. This year, the MEIFHA board has decided to purchase our own set of boards, along with four U9 nets to help enable more flexibility in our game scheduling and development opportunities for the U9 players.

With this new budget item on the table, we are hoping the MEIFHA community will also be excited and want to support and offset the cost of the new boards and nets through corporate sponsorship. Each sponsor will be provided with an ad space on the newly purchased boards, similar to the signage/ads you see on the permanent boards around the rinks now. Ads/signage will appear on both sides of the panels, which are 36" * 90" .

The sponsorship amount is $1,000 per panel, and we are seeking eight sponsorships. Due to RBC Centre restrictions, the sponsors cannot be financial institutions, or insurance related industries, such as brokers.

The boards will be ordered soon, with an expected delivery date in time for the first scheduled games for the U9s.

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact David Bruce, the VP Finance at infernotreasurer@gmail.com and thank you in advance for your consideration of this great initiative for our U9 players.  The association will provide an INFERNO hoodie to those who secure sponsorship for this initiative.
